Villa Esperanza Services and Kiwanis Club form 2 Aktion Clubs for Adults with Disabilities
The Pasadena and Thousand Oaks Aktion Clubs are official Kiwanis Sponsored Service Leadership Programs oriented to adult citizens who live with disabilities and who are interested in service to their communities. The mission of the Aktion Club is to provide members an opportunity to develop initiative and leadership skills, help serve their community, become more integrated into their community and demonstrate the dignity and value of citizens living with disabilities.
Currently there are two new Aktion Clubs for disabled adults, one in Pasadena and one in Thousand Oaks. Both are sponsored by Kiwanis Clubs in those cities in collaboration with Villa Esperanza Services.
