
Golf Classic a Winner for Villa Esperanza Services Tournament of Hope Nets over $103,000!
The recent Villa Esperanza Services 16 th annual Tournament of Hope golf classic at Via Verde Country Club netted over $103,000 to support the agency's educational, vocational, residential and social service programs for the developmentally disabled. Wells Fargo Private Client Services was the lead sponsor of the tournament.
The event, which attracted 120 golfers from around the Southland, was chaired by Chuck Adams, Vice President and Regional Manager of Wells Fargo Private Client Services of Los Angeles. Committee members included: John Deniston and Jan Starnes of San Marino, David Carlson and Kathy Waller of La Canada, R-Lene Mijares de Lang, Karen Brown, Kathy Palmer, Andrea Palmer, Sharon Doty, Philip and Barbara Ito, Edi Metcalf, Betty McKenney, and Herbert Weaver of Pasadena, Linda Lucero of Los Angeles, Min Higa of Monterey Park, Joe Moore of South Pasadena, and Rita Milostan and Robert Loebbecke of Glendora.
Villa Esperanza Services began its mission of love, care and hope to the developmentally disabled children of Pasadena over 42 years ago. Founded in 1961 in Pasadena as the first independent day school for children with Down syndrome, Villa
Esperanza now offers a continuum of care and services for infants to seniors in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Programs include a day school for children ages 9 months through 15 years; work placement, adult day programs and residential facilities for adults; and an Adult Day Health Care Center and Care Management Outreach Collaboration for disabled adults and the mainstream frail elderly.

This year's 14 th annual Tournament of Hope netted $100,000 to benefit Villa's educational, vocational and residential programs for developmentally disabled children and adults and the mainstream, frail elderly.
