Villa Esperanza Services offers quality residential living for adults with built-in levels of support and assistance. Each setting provides its residents with choices, a level of independence and enriching social activities and educational opportunities.

In Pasadena, Villa offers eight group homes for those who can flourish in independent, but supervised residential living and six Independent Living apartments for those who are ready to live on their own. Two group homes in Thousand Oaks are also available. The levels of care are shown below:

Medi-cal Houses:
Provide the intensive medical and training services needed by residents who require help with all aspects of daily living. A team of trained medical professionals and support staff including a dietitian, pharmacist, attending physician, registered nurse, occupational therapist, speech pathologist, qualified mental retardation professional and head counselor combine their efforts to provide for the needs of these adults. The ratio of staff to residents is three to one.

Community Care Houses:
Levels two and three, provide a supportive, nurturing environment so residents can learn skills necessary to becoming successful, functioning adults. Level two houses have a six to one staff to resident ratio; level three houses have a three to one ratio.

The Independent Living Skills (ILS) Program:
Offers ongoing support for adults who can live independently. Independent living skills instructors visit adults in their homes as needed to teach skills ranging from meal planning and shopping to banking, making appointments and using public transportation. Bilingual instruction is also available.
