Villa’s annual Tournament of Hope at Angeles National Golf Course was Chaired by Debbie Meymarian, of The Body Firm and Chuck Tapert of Stone Tapert Financial. The tournament began with our exciting helicopter golf ball drop and then our golfers teed off in style, wearing kilts and tam o’shanters to help bring Scottish tradition to the Tournament. Pasadena Community Network broadcasted live during our event and “Captain Jorge” Jarrin of KABC’s Talk Radio and the Los Angeles Dodgers was the evening’s emcee. Barbara and Philip Ito of FIA Insurance were honored for their longtime commitment to Villa and the Robert Loebbecke Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Min Higa for his 24 years of dedication to our Golf Committee and to Villa. Sponsored by Wells Fargo, we raised $150,000.
Congratulations to the winners of this year’s tournament: First Place Men’s Team was from Mijares Mexican Restaurant –Chris Sierras, Tracy Thomas, Jon Sierras, and Kylan Gammel. First Place Mixed Foursome was Debbie Meymarian, Mike Giordano, Greg Smith, and Paul Abrahamian. First Place Ladies Foursome was Casey Gregg, Rebeca German, Terri Reed, and Jenny Barnett.
