Occupational Therapy Clinic

Villa Esperanza Services Occupational Therapy Clinic is a community clinic that provides individualized, client-centered therapy to each unique client that we serve. We work with clients of all ages to increase their independence in the daily activities that are meaningful to them so that they can reach their full potential.

Occupational therapy focuses on the underlying skills that our clients need to be successful at school, home, and in the community, including fine motor skills, gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, bilateral coordination, sensory processing, attention-to-task, regulation skills, emotional regulation, self-care skills, feeding skills, executive functioning skills, and visual processing skills.

Our clinicians have a broad educational background, including neurological, biomechanical, and psychological foundations. Our occupational therapists are also trained in DIR-Floortime Therapy, ProAct Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, and trauma-informed care. Our clinic specializes in working with clients with moderate to severe developmental disabilities, autism, comorbid diagnoses, communication challenges, neurological conditions, traumatic brain injury, orthopedic conditions, feeding challenges, mental health concerns, sensory and self-regulation needs, and behavioral needs. SERVICES WE PROVIDE

PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

  • As a vendor to local Regional Centers, we provide clinic-based, in-home, and teletherapy occupational therapy services for infants and toddlers.

  • We provide clinic-based pediatric occupational therapy evaluations and treatment. We are contracted to provide services as an in-network provider for Kaiser Permanente and Cigna. We have private pay options as well. We can provide services as an out-of-network provider for other insurance companies and can provide clients with a superbill to receive reimbursement from their insurance provider.

  • We provide school-based occupational therapy services directly to Villa Esperanza Non-Public School (NPS) students. In addition, we contract to School Districts as a Non-Public Agency (NPA) to provide evaluation, treatment, and consultation services to students at various campuses or students on home hospital instruction. We have the option of providing teletherapy sessions as well.

  • We run summer skills groups for children, adolescents, and young adults on topics such as feeding skills, pre-vocational training, handwriting skills, and self-care skills. Please contact us to receive our course schedules for the upcoming summer.

ADULT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

  • We provide individual clinic-based occupational therapy treatment for adults with autism and developmental disabilities to work on the underlying skills that may be impacting independence in self-care skills, vocational skills, life skills, and community integration skills.

  • We provide group-based OT skills groups for Adult Day Programs in the Pasadena area. These groups serve to build and maintain the underlying skills our adult clients need to be independent and successful in their daily lives. Please contact us for a list of OT skills groups offered.

  • We provide annual occupational therapy evaluations and treatment for adults with developmental disabilities living in residential group homes and intermediate care facilities.

TRAINING & CONSULTATION

  • We provide in-person and teletherapy occupational therapy consultation services to parents and caregivers. We’re here to help you discuss home sensory challenges, review IEP documents with you, or answer any other OT-related questions you may have!

  • We provide staff training sessions for professionals on topics such as: sensory integration and processing, motor planning, self-regulation skills, functional transfer training, and regulation/behavior management. We also provide consultation and training for businesses hoping to make their environment a more inviting space for individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, and sensory challenges.

Meet Your Director

Rebekka is a dedicated occupational therapist with a passion for supporting individuals across the lifespan. She works with children, adolescents, and adults, empowering each client to reach their full potential and engage in the activities that matter most to them.

Rebekka graduated with honors from Pitzer College with a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and later earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She joined Villa Esperanza Services in 2017 and currently serves as Director of Occupational Therapy, overseeing the organization’s OT programs.

Her clinical background spans diverse settings, including schools, home health, hospitals, outpatient clinics, and acute rehabilitation centers. Rebekka’s strong foundation in neuroscience informs her specialization in neurorehabilitation and sensory integration.  She has worked extensively with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including neurological, orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, developmental, and mental health conditions across both pediatric and adult populations.

As a certified DIR-Floortime® (DIR-FDC) provider, Rebekka uses a relationship-based, social-emotional approach to support her clients. She also brings expertise in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care, with a deep commitment to supporting individuals who are often misunderstood due to behavioral, communication, or mental health challenges.

Across all settings, Rebekka partners closely with clients and their families to ensure therapy is individualized, holistic, and meaningful.
